This is an official warning! Don’t watch this video if you’re squeamish or don’t want to see a guys leg get broken.
“Breaking” Footage: That will leave a mark!

Can’t say that we didn’t warn you!
But seriously, ouch. That’s why the IBJJF banned White Belts from “jumping” or “pulling” guard. Because things like this happen.
So maybe the lesson to be learned is DON’T DO THIS if you’re a white belt!
At this point in the blog, I will leave you to my tangential thoughts about this incident for purely entertainment purposes.
You gotta think that the guy that got his leg broken was pissed dude. I mean he went into this match as a striped up white belt and JUST started the roll. He’s probably thinking ” hmmm let’s see I’m going to pick apart this guys game, let’s see what you got there, oh okay guess I’m going into his guard is that a DQ? Oh well let’s see where this is going AETHETCRITICALERRORHPAINPAINJEATMH@)%#QTHPUTA!!!!!!”
You can’t tell me that isn’t an accurate portrayal of his mental processes at that moment. And you gotta feel sorry for the guy that broke his leg too! You can see the guy is just like “What the fuck have I done?” The guy is definitely feeling the pain vicariously. How could you not?! It was absolutely gruesome the way that it was flopping around like Anderson Silva’s leg when he shattered his tibia. It’s the stuff of nightmares, absolutely. That’s like the lurking boogeyman or Freddy Kreuger that’s lurking in the back of all Jiu Jitsu or MMA guys heads when they’re competing. We’re like, okay we can handle the rear naked choke. We can handle a broken nose or thumb or busted face. But please, God: please do not let this happen. I don’t want the leg to flop around like that. I also don’t want to get catastrophically knocked out either. We all know that it could happen. FORTUNATELY at Mata Leao, we make Beginner Jiu Jitsu safe, fun, and easy.
As an addendum, did you see how fast the fireman showed up immediately after he broke his leg? You know it’s bad when the fire department show up immediately for your Jiu Jitsu injury.
