Best MMA Gym In Portland:
Holiday Workout Blues?!?! Come train at the very best MMA Gym in Portland!
It’s that time of year again when we reverently look back on holiday’s past, glutted with carbohydrates and marred by dietary regrets. Are you ready to stop training altogether this season in lieu of crescent rolls and oyster stuffing? OF COURSE NOT. You”ve been there, done that. Time to kick ass and take names with a brand new kick-boxing or jiu jitsu routine.
If you are working out regularly, It’s okay to lose sight of the goals every now and then. But we all know that exercise is not optional if you’re invested in having a good quality of life. So, beat the holiday blues by dispelling these common myths that stop you from coming to kickboxing class over the holidays.
1. Lack of motivation
If the gloomy grey weather and plummeting vitamin D-3 levels are hampering your work-out enthusiasm, invite buddy to come with you to class and get into the ZONE with you. I believe that the character “Butters” from South-Park put it perfect when he coined the term “accountbillabuddy.” Well, those are a thing, and they work. Working out is not supposed to be a downer. It can be fun, and it can be social. Remember, being active and being around other people is healthy. Remember? Yeah. You do remember.
2. Lack of time:
Often times people yammer on about how they literally have no free time to work out. I’m here to tell you that you can’t afford NOT to make time to work out. People fill their time up with all sorts of useless and stressful activities that actually detract from their quality of lie.
Kickboxing or Jiu-Jitsu is a relatively short workout session, as it takes less than an hour of your time. In order to slowly ease into your workout schedule, try leaving an hour of free time after work or during weekends to go to kickboxing classes. It will pay dividends on your happiness, confidence, and can influence the trajectory of your life.
3. Busy social life:
People say that they’re too busy with social obligations. It’s also awesome to be able to explore your interests, get healthier, and make new friends while you’re at it! I went to a lot of MMA gyms in the area before I settled on Mata Leao. I can tell you honestly that the reason that I decided to stay here is the people. Omar Santiago, Grant Connelly and literally all of the other staff and affiliated members are all so friendly, motivated and compassionate. It’s an amazing group of people, period.
